TOP PLACES TO VISIT IN BANGKOK
Introduction
Bangkok has it all. Beautiful temples, historical buildings and more. These are the top places you have to visit in Bangkok!
Lumpini Park
Lumpini Park is a beautiful park and home to Lumpini Park Tower, which is one of the most recognisable structures in Bangkok. The tower stands at 112 metres (368 feet) tall and was constructed between 1980 and 1983 by the Thai government as part of its plan to beautify Bangkok and boost tourism.
The park itself is located at the heart of this city, just minutes away from many other major tourist attractions such as Grand Palace Palace Museum National Museum Concert Hall National Theater Royal Banyan Tree Forest Restaurant Street Food Market Supermarket ATM Bank ATM Internet Café Police Station Post Office Taxi Stand Hospital .
The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace is the most important historical site in Bangkok. It houses the king of Thailand, who lives here with his family and appoints prime ministers and other high-ranking officials. This palace also contains several museums, including one dedicated to Wat Phra Kaew (also known as “Wat Phra Keo”). This temple was founded by King Rama I in 1767 as a place where monks could practice meditation during the day and worship at night. The temple has been renovated many times over its history; today it's considered one of Bangkok's most important religious sites for tourists to visit.
The Grand Palace itself can be reached by boat from either Wat Pho or Thonburi side but if you're feeling lazy then hop on an elephant train instead! Elephants are very popular in Thailand - they're often used for tourism purposes like carrying visitors around town or even helping them cross busy roads!
Wat Pho
Wat Pho is a temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok, on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River. The temple was built during Ayutthaya Kingdom period as Wat Pra Kaew (วัดป้อมเก่) by King Taksin and his son King Rama I when they defeated Lanna Kingdom forces at Tha Chang (Thailand).
Wat Pho houses a large collection of Buddha images dating back to various periods in Thai history. These include statues from Ayutthaya era; Prasat Hin Phra Kaew (the hall for visitors to make merit), which contains images related to Buddha's life story; Suthat Chotmai Chedi or "Golden Crown Temple", which was built in 1374 AD during reigns over Sukhothai Kingdom; Sahachart Klangmusik Bua Shrine Room with murals depicting stories connected with Dharmapacara Sutta
Jim Thompson House Museum
The Jim Thompson House Museum is a good example of the architecture and culture of Bangkok during the early 20th century. It was built in 1896 by a wealthy American businessman named James L. Thompson on what used to be his family's sugarcane plantation.
The house is an impressive sight, with its tall walls and numerous windows on each floor for natural light (it's fairly dark inside). The upper floors were originally intended for living quarters but are now closed off from public access due to safety concerns; however, you can still see some rooms while visiting this historic site.
Wat Arun
Wat Arun is a Buddhist temple on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok.
The temple was built in 1350 by King Ramkhamhaeng of the Thonburi Kingdom.
It is one of Thailand's most important traditional buildings and its location makes it an important landmark for visitors to Bangkok as well as residents who live near its vicinity.
Wat Ratchanaddaram
Wat Ratchanaddaram is a temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located on the Chao Phraya River near the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Keo.
The temple was established by King Mongkut (Rama IV) in 1868 as part of his plan to increase Buddhism's presence in Bangkok.[1] The original shrine was built at Khlong Bang Lamphu where it sat until it became too small for use.[2] Today there are three main buildings: "Nakhon" (the main hall), "Phra Si San" (the abbot's residence), and an office building used by monks who live at this monastery.[3][4]
Thailand's most beautiful buildings and temples.
Lumpini Park is the most popular area in Bangkok. The park encompasses many different buildings, including Lumpini Park Tower, the National Museum and National Library. It also includes several temples including Wat Prasat Ratchanani and Wat Suthat (of which there are three).

The Grand Palace is a large complex that houses dozens of palaces and temples as well as museums dedicated to various historical eras throughout Thai history; this makes it one of the most visited places in Thailand.
Wat Pho has been around since before AD 200—it was originally built with materials such as sandstone and laterite stone but today it’s made mostly out of limestone blocks quarried from nearby cliffs. The temple sits on top of Mount Khao Phra Wihong (which means “Coral Mountain”) at an elevation over 1,000 meters above sea level!
